Pulwama, Jul 22: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, Tuesday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee to review the implementation status of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0) at the Administrative Complex, Pulwama.
During the meeting, DC took a detailed municipality-wise review of the applications submitted by eligible households under the scheme and sought updates from the concerned officers regarding their progress. Stress was also laid on maintaining utmost transparency and accountability ensuring timely disposal of the cases.
On the occasion, 92 field verified cases were approved. With regard to the pending applications, DC exhorted the concerned officers to extend proactive support and handholding to applicants to facilitate the timely completion of formalities and to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left behind.
He further directed Executive Officers and Tehsildars to facilitate land title transfer of eligible applicants so that applications are processed in time.
“Beneficiaries of such schemes usually belong to poor and weaker sections of society, Executive Officers and Tehsildars should assist them in completing all formalities and guide them properly to ensure timely access to the benefits.” directed the DC.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama; Chief Planning Officer, Pulwama; District Social Welfare Officer, Pulwama; Tehsildars, and Executive Officers of the Municipal Committees of Pampore, Tral, Awantipora, and Khrew; and Lead District Manager, Pulwama.
