Budgam, Jul 25: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat Friday chaired the District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee (DLSCC) meeting to review, discuss and finalize the cases related to compassionate appointment under SRO-43 for the NOKs of civilians and armed forces personnel killed in militancy related incidents.
At the outset, ADC gave a detailed briefing on the current status of each case. After thorough deliberation and evaluation, the Committee approved several eligible cases under the provisions of the SRO-43.
Dr Bilal after assessing each case, reaffirmed that all deserving NOKs shall receive timely benefits. He emphasized that compassionate appointments under SRO-43 are not merely administrative obligations but a moral commitment to the families who have suffered irreparable losses.
DC directed all concerned departments to maintain close coordination and expedite the verification process without unnecessary delays. He stressed on the need to ensure transparency, sensitivity, and efficiency in handling these cases, reiterating that no eligible family should be made to wait due to procedural bottlenecks
He said all deserving NOKs shall receive timely benefits.
DC urged all departments to adopt a proactive approach and ensure that all required formalities and verifications are completed within stipulated timelines.
Among others, the meeting was attended by SSP Budgam, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, all SDMs, Commanding Officer 53 RR, all Tehsildars, representatives from the CID and other security agencies.
