Inspects arrangements for celebration of I-Day at Bakshi Stadium

Srinagar, Jul 30: In order to ensure an impressive display of Mega Tiranga Rally on August 12, Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri convened a meeting of officers to lay down smooth arrangements for the successful conduct of the event.
The meeting was attended by DIG Kashmir, Rajiv Pandey; DIG CRPF; DC Srinagar, Akshay Labroo; Commissioner SMC, Faz Lul Haseeb; Director Floriculture, Director RDD, SSP Srinagar, SSP Security, Senior officers of Various departments including Health, Horticulture, Education, I&FC, Information, R&B, CRPF, BSF, J&K Bank, SRTC, SSCL, YSS, Zila Sainik Welfare, Traffic and Transport.
Addressing the meeting, Div Com emphasized enthusiastic participation in the Mega Tiranga Rally from SKICC to Botanical Garden.
On the occasion, he directed concerned departments for organizing Tiranga concert and gave directives for setting up stage for cultural programs, installation of tents, LED Walls and an impressive sound system at the Botanical garden.
He directed concerned departments for providing transportation facilities & refreshment to the participants.
Meanwhile, Div Com also visited Bakshi Stadium to inspect the ongoing arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day.
He was accompanied by DC Srinagar, and officers from R&B, PHE, Health, KPDCL, Information, Sports Council & security agencies.
On the occasion, Div Com gave concerned officers directions for making proper arrangements for the Podium, installation of LED Screens & sound system, sanitation, drinking water dispensers & tankers, uninterrupted supply of electricity, foolproof security and seating arrangements.
He also directed for making the toilet blocks operational at the venue besides deployment of mobile toilet vehicles.
Besides, Div Com directed for temporary shading of the pavilion to protect participants from scorching sun & rain depending on the weather.
