Srinagar, Aug 5: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of several senior officers across the Union Territory.
According to an official order, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Managing Director of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, while Rakesh Minhas, who was serving as DC Kathua, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Jammu.
Ayushi Sudan, earlier posted in Kupwara, has been transferred to Samba as DC, replacing Rajesh Sharma, who will now serve as DC Kathua. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, DC Bandipora, has been relieved of his charge and will await further posting in the General Administration Department.
Indu Kanwal, previously Chairperson of the J&K Services Selection Board, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department, has been posted as DC Poonch.
Anshul Garg, CEO of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, has been posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. Sachin Kumar Vaishya, who was serving as DC Jammu, will now take over as CEO of the Shrine Board.
Avny Lavasa, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Secretary, Transport Department. The current Transport Secretary has been shifted to the Civil Aviation Department and will also serve as Commissioner, Civil Aviation, relieving Shahid Iqbal Choudhary of additional responsibilities.
Vikas Kundal, DC Poonch, has been appointed as Chairman of the J&K Services Selection Board. Gurpal Singh, Director of Social Welfare, Jammu, will now serve as Managing Director of JPDCL. Anil Banka, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Special Secretary in the Finance Department. [KNT]
