Srinagar, Aug 12: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has instructed all its employees to strictly follow the prescribed uniform norms while on duty, warning that violations will lead to disciplinary action.
In a circular issued by the Registrar General, it has been noted that certain officers and officials have been reporting for duty in casual attire, a practice described as undermining discipline and affecting the court’s functioning.
The order applies to gazetted and non-gazetted staff, including personal staff of registry officers, employees in eCourts and IT sections, as well as orderlies, ushers, and drivers. Each category of staff must adhere to the uniform designated for their role.
The directive takes immediate effect, with controlling officers instructed to ensure strict compliance by all employees under their supervision. [KNT]
