Udhampur, Aug 23: A woman died while her two relatives on board sustained injuries after their vehicle met with an accident near Udhampur on Saturday.
Officials said the vehicle (JK02CH-5448), belonging to NHPC employee Abdul Kabir Zargar of Kishtwar, was travelling along the highway when it rammed into a road divider. The impact left the driver and two others, including a woman, injured.
All the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where the female, identified as Shafeeqa Begum, succumbed to her injuries. The injured Abdul Kabir Zargar and Muhammad Asif Zargar are undergoing treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the accident and initiated further proceedings. [KNT]
