Police arrest three gamblers in Khrew

Srinagar, Sep 26: Acting tough against the social crimes, Police in Awantipora have arrested three gamblers in Khrew and seized stake money from their possession.
Acting on a specific information regarding gambling activities in Khrew area, a police party of Police Station Khrew headed by SHO PS Khrew under the supervision of SDPO Pampore raided the specific spot and arrested three gamblers. They have been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Shah son of Gh Ahmad Shah resident of Panthachowk Srinagar, Showkat Ahmad Ganie son of Gh Mohd Ganie resident of Dangarpora Nowgam Srinagar and Manzoor Ahmad Guroo son of Mohd Sultan Guroo resident of Sambarbugh Nowgam Srinagar.
Officers have seized stake money of Rs 25,630/- and playing cards from their possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 71/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khrew and further investigation has been initiated.
