Srinagar, Oct 27: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday confirmed that no new Anganwadi Centre has been established or opened in any district of the Union Territory during the last two years.
Replying to a query by MLA Khurshied Ahmed, the Minister Incharge Social Welfare said that there is currently no proposal under consideration for the establishment of additional Anganwadi Centres in J&K.
The Minister, however, stated that the department has written to the Government of India requesting the allotment of new centres for left-out areas across the Union Territory. (KNO)
