DC Kupwara chairs Revenue officers’ meeting

Kupwara, Nov 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Tuesday convened a meeting of Revenue officers here at D.C Office to review progress on a range of matters pertaining to the functioning of the Revenue Department.
During the meeting, the DC undertook a detailed review of key performance indicators of the Revenue Department, including the digitization and quality check of Jamabandis, progress on online services under the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA), and other essential revenue-related issues.
The Deputy Commissioner urged officers to work with full zeal, dedication, and a time-bound approach, cautioning against any form of lethargy towards the work. He directed all Tehsildars to prioritize the submission of SRO-43 cases after thorough scrutiny and verification, ensuring swift disposal for further necessary action.
Under the PM Gati Shakti initiative, the DC instructed officers to ensure timely uploading of maps of their respective areas to facilitate accurate planning and implementation. He highlighted that the programme is instrumental in developing multimodal connectivity infrastructure and enhancing logistics efficiency, which are crucial for the district’s economic growth.
Addressing the officers, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, emphasized the need for strict adherence to timelines.
The DC particularly stressed the importance of timely data uploading on designated portals so that ground-level work is accurately reflected in departmental performance records.
The meeting also discussed the issues pertaining to Migrant land alienation and migrant grievances.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan, ACR Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Tehsildars, and other concerned officials, who assured their full cooperation in meeting the targets and improving departmental outcomes.
