Srinagar, Nov 18: MLA Zadibal and Chief Spokesperson of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, Tanvir Sadiq, Saturday laid the foundation stone for a major drainage network in Alamgiri Bazar in the Zadibal constituency.
This long-pending demand of the local residents of Alamgiri Bazar has finally been met, with the project being taken up at a cost of Rs 76 lakh. The new drainage system will cater to a large stretch of the Shehr-e-Khaas area, significantly improving local infrastructure.
This marks the second major drainage project initiated in the constituency within a week, following the launch of a similar Rs 76 lakh project at Vicharnag.
Speaking on the occasion, Tanvir Sadiq reaffirmed his strong commitment to the people of Zadibal, assuring that all essential works in the area will be completed in a time-bound manner. He added that several major development projects are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his continuous support in ensuring that Srinagar is developed and beautified in the right and sustainable manner.
Executive Engineer UEED, Shoaib Ahmad, AEE Danish and other officials were present during the ceremony. Local party functionaries and various respected citizens also attended the event.
