Environment Committee reviews Anchar Lake conservation, inspects SKIMS waste management

Srinagar, Dec 25: Police in Pulwama organised Thana Diwas across all police establishments of the district as part of its continued efforts to strengthen public outreach and community policing.
The programme was chaired by the respective jurisdictional officers and attended by public representatives, Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars, members of trade and transport associations, civil society members and other respectable citizens of the concerned areas. During these meetings, various issues of public importance were raised. The participants were assured that all genuine grievances falling within the police domain will be addressed on priority, while matters related to other departments will be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
The public was urged to cooperate with the Police in maintaining peace and order and to assist in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements, particularly those involved in narcotics smuggling and other unlawful activities. The participants appreciated Police for conducting such programmes, stating that these interactions help in building trust, enhance transparency and strengthen public confidence in policing.
Police reiterated its commitment to responsive, people-friendly and proactive policing to ensure peace and harmony in the district.
