Anantnag, Jan 15: The body of a 34-year-old man was recovered on Thursday from the Achabal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.
According to officials, the deceased has been identified as Masroor Ahmad, son of Habibullah Mochi and a resident of Shelipora, Achabal. His body was noticed by locals early in the morning, who immediately informed the authorities.
Following the information, a police team reached the spot and took custody of the body. The deceased was later shifted to a nearby hospital for completion of medico legal formalities.
Police officials said a case has been registered in this regard, and an investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the death. [KNT]
