Srinagar administration felicitates meritorious civil, police officials

DC, SSP, SMC Commissioner hand over awards to officials for excellence in public services

Srinagar, Jan 24: To acknowledge and recognize the services rendered by the Officers and Officials of District Administration Srinagar, SMC and District Police, who have delivered distinguished and meritorious services, the District Administration Srinagar on Saturday held a Felicitation & Award Ceremony here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, Commissioner SMC, Faz Lul Haseeb and Senior Superintendent of Police, Sandeep Chakraborty who awarded the Commendation Certificates and Mementos to the employees who have showcased meritorious service in the run up to Republic Day Celebrations.
Addressing the felicitation function, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated all the award winners and said that hard work and dedication towards one’s profession are the keys to achieving success and earning a unique place in society.
The DC lauded the contributions of all awardees and other officials who have made a difference through their hard work, exemplary performance, and dedication towards ensuring a prompt, efficient, and effective public service delivery system in the district.
The DC also highlighted the importance of coordination among the District Administration, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), and Police in ensuring effective and efficient administration in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner SMC highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts in fostering a better work culture for the benefit of the public. He urged the participants to continue working with added zeal, responsibility, and commitment in the future for public welfare and the overall betterment of society.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar also addressed the gathering and lauded the awardees for their dedication and outstanding service.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; Additional Deputy Commissioner, AAdil Fareed; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, other senior Officers of District Administration, District/Sectoral Officers and other concerned were present on the occasion.
The Officers/Officials who were felicitated during the programme included Tanveer Ahmad Dar and Ms Aaliya Amin from the Employment Department for successful implementation of Mission YUVA. Ms Rumana, Tariq Ahmad, Rouf Sheikh, Asif Sarwal, and Javed Kathu from J&K Bank were also honoured for their contributions.
From KPDCL, Ghulam Mohammad Ganai, Irfan Ahmad, Mohammad Ashraf, Tafazul Ahmad, Tanveer Ahmad, and Bilal Ahmad were felicitated for effective implementation of Solar Rooftops under PM Surya Muft Bijli Yojana.
Similarly, from District Police, Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, Masarat Ahmad Mir, Nazir Ahmad Mir, Showkat Ahmad, Waseem Mohi-ud-Din Lone, and Adil Ahmad Tak were honoured for their dedicated service.
From Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Er Sajad Kawoosa was felicitated, while Zahid Rashid from the Irrigation and Flood Control Department was also honoured.
From the R&B Department, Er Khalid Mehmood, Er Muzamil Bashir and Er Noor Mohammad Malik were awarded for their contributions.
Likewise, Yameen-ul-Nabi and his team from the Food Safety Department were felicitated. From Fire and Emergency Services, Dr. Aqib Hussain Mir, Mr Adil Hussain Zargar, and Mr Aijaz Ahmad Shah were honoured.
Additionally, Mst Shahida, Mst Shayista, Tahir Abbas, Mst Rifat Nazir, and Zaid Allaqband from the DC Office, SDM Office and Chief Planning Office Srinagar were felicitated. From the Education Department, Aabid Ahmad Wangnoo was awarded.
Besides, Aditya, Ghulam Hassan, Aijaz Ahmad, and Wasim Bashir were also felicitated during the programme.
