Baramulla, Feb 26: Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid Thursday assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla in the presence of senior district and sectoral officers at the DC Office Baramulla.
On the occasion, senior officers of the district administration, officials and staff of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, along with members of civil society, extended a warm welcome to the new DC.
Soon after assuming charge, the DC interacted with senior officers of the district administration, where he outlined his vision of people-centric governance as the core principle guiding the functioning of the administration.
The DC emphasised that the administration is fundamentally meant to serve the people and must remain accessible, responsive and accountable to the public at all times.
Furthermore, the DC urged the officers to adopt a proactive and solution-oriented approach while dealing with public matters and ensure administrative efficiency translates into real, visible improvements in the lives of citizens.
