After weeks of an unusual heat and prolonged dry spell, the weather forecast predicting rain and snowfall across Jammu and Kashmir comes as a relief for the people across the region, especially in the Valley. The Valley has been witnessing one of its driest winter periods in recent years, raising concerns among farmers, orchardists and water resource managers alike.
