Bandipora, Mar 12: Continuing its intensified campaign under the Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan (NMBA), the District Administration Bandipora Thursday organized a series of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) awareness programmes at multiple locations across the district.
The programmes were conducted at HSS Aloosa , HSS Mantrigam, HS Ganastan, HSS Nowgam, Ward No. 7 Nasoo (Bandipora), Dumpora (Sumbal) and Bon Mohalla (Hajin).
A multi-departmental team comprising officials from Health, Police, Education, Social Welfare, Youth Services & Sports and JKNRLM participated in the programmes.
During the sessions, resource persons delivered awareness lectures and interacted with participants, sensitizing them about the harmful effects of substance abuse, preventive measures, and the importance of community participation in curbing the menace of drugs.
The programmes witnessed active participation from students, youth and members of the community, who engaged in discussions and pledged to contribute towards making their localities drug-free under the ongoing Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
