Jammu, Apr 4: The Legislative Assembly on Saturday witnessed a heated exchange of arguments between National Conference Minister Sakeena Masood Itoo and PDP legislator Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, with the former repeatedly mentioning Mehbooba Mufti’s “milk and toffee” remarks as many as five times.
During a tense argument with PDP legislator Parra, Sakeena Itoo accused Para of tearing papers in the House for mere show-off.
“If we are without power and grappling with challenges today, it is because of PDP. If we are without state, it is due to you. If we are without 370, it is due to you,” the minister shouted at PDP lawmaker.
Minister Itoo said her party believes in practical governance rather than “tearing papers for mere show-off.”
She repeatedly hit at Para by invoking Mehbooba Mufti’s 2016 milk and toffee remarks.
“We know who owns how many cold storages and who is backing whom? We also know where from your syllabus is framed,” she said
Parra hit back at Sakeena over her academic qualifications. (KNO)
