Srinagar, Apr 11: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party president Syed Altaf Bukhari on Saturday called upon every citizen of the union territory to actively contribute to the success of the 100-day ‘Nasha Mukt’ campaign launched to combat the growing drug menace.
In a post on X, Apni Party chief said the initiative was both timely and essential at a time when a significant number of youth had already fallen victim to drug abuse and many more remained vulnerable.
The Apni Party chief also commended Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for announcing stringent punitive measures, including cancellation of passports and Aadhaar cards, as well as attachment of properties belonging to drug smugglers.
“Such firm actions are necessary to break the backbone of the drug network and protect our youth,” Altaf Bukhari said, urging everyone to unite to make the campaign a success. (KNS)
