Advancing brain health: How technology is transforming brain tumor treatment

The call to revive Kashmir Haat is both timely and necessary. Once envisioned as a vibrant hub for local crafts, culture and commerce, the market today stands at a crossroads, struggling to reclaim its relevance in a rapidly evolving retail landscape. The challenge, however, is not insurmountable, provided the response is both imaginative and sustained. Consumer behaviour has undergone a fundamental shift. With doorstep delivery and digital marketplaces becoming the norm, traditional markets can no longer rely solely on footfall. They must transform into experiential spaces, places where culture, authenticity and human connection offer something that online platforms cannot replicate. In this context, the proposal to organize promotional events at Kashmir Haat is a step in the right direction. Regular craft fairs, live demonstrations, cultural performances, and food festivals can breathe life into the space, making it a must-visit destination for both tourists and locals. However, sporadic events will not suffice. What is required is a calendar-driven approach, backed by aggressive marketing and seamless coordination between departments. Equally important is integrating the market into the broader tourism circuit. Visitors should not stumble upon Kashmir Haat by chance but must feature prominently in travel itineraries, promotional campaigns, and digital outreach. At the same time, the needs of artisans must remain central. Affordable spaces, assured footfall, and fair returns are critical to sustaining their participation. Without them, the market risks becoming a hollow showcase. Revival, therefore, is not just about infrastructure or events but about restoring purpose. Kashmir Haat can still emerge as a symbol of cultural pride and economic opportunity, but only if intent is matched by consistent action.
