Srinagar, Apr 24: Police have intensified its anti-drug enforcement operations by deploying a specialized narcotic dog squad at multiple locations across Srinagar as part of an ongoing crackdown aimed at building a drug-free society.
The move is part of a sustained enforcement drive under a national anti-drug initiative, with trained sniffer dogs stationed at key checkpoints to detect concealed narcotics and assist in identifying suspected drug peddlers. Officials said the canine units are being used to enhance on-the-spot detection and strengthen field-level surveillance.
