New Delhi, May 5: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday allowed jailed MP Engineer Rashid to visit his ailing father at AIIMS here under strict police escort on humanitarian grounds.
A bench noted the critical health condition of the Parliamentarian’s father and permitted the visit, directing authorities to ensure full security during his movement and stay at the hospital.
The court specified that the visit would be time-bound and conducted under strict supervision.
Jailed MP Engineer Rashid, had filed a plea seeking temporary relief to meet his father undergoing treatment at AIIMS.
The court posted the matter for further hearing after a compliance report on the visit is filed official sources further added. (KNS)
