Srinagar, May 18: Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid was on Monday granted bail to attend the last rites of his father, Haji Khazir Mohammad, who passed away after a brief illness at AIIMS Delhi.
Family members said that Rashid has been allowed to participate in the funeral following his father’s death in New Delhi. Rashid has been granted bail till June 02.
Notably, Rashid was earlier granted interim bail on April 28 to meet his ailing father. After spending a few days with his family, he returned to Tihar Jail on May 6.
The last rites of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh will be held at his native place in Langate in north Kashmir, family sources said. (KNO)
