Srinagar, Jun 6: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Additional General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Chowdry Muhammad Ramzan Friday reiterated the Omar Abdullah-led government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector and addressing the concerns of teachers and students across Jammu and Kashmir.
He said this while meeting with several delegations of teachers at Nawa e Subah. Chowdry patiently listened to their issues, concerns, and suggestions regarding educational infrastructure, service matters, and the overall functioning of schools. He assured the delegations that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities for timely redressal.
He highlighted that the Omar government is actively working to improve educational infrastructure, enhance learning outcomes, modernise school facilities, and ensure that teachers receive the support necessary to perform their duties effectively. He said special emphasis is being laid on upgrading schools, addressing staff shortages, promoting digital learning, and creating better opportunities for students in both urban and rural areas.
He further said that the government is committed to making the education system more inclusive, accessible and responsive to the aspirations of the younger generation. He urged teachers to continue their dedicated efforts in nurturing students and contributing to the development of an educated and progressive society.
