Bus overturns near Rajouri, 15 injured

Rajouri, Jun 8: At least 15 passengers were injured when a bus overturned near Tandwal on the outskirts of Rajouri town on Monday, officials said.
The bus was travelling from Rajouri to Manjakote when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the accident.
The mishap triggered panic among passengers as the vehicle overturned on the roadside, leaving several occupants injured.
Soon after the accident, local residents, police personnel and emergency responders rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
The injured passengers were evacuated from the bus and shifted to nearby healthcare facilities for treatment.
Officials said at least 15 passengers sustained injuries in the accident. The condition of the injured was not immediately known, though most were reported to have suffered injuries of varying severity.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident. [KNT]
