Srinagar, Jun 13: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has directed all government and recognised private schools in the Valley not to conduct any in-house examinations, internal assessments or term examinations during a five-day period in view of Muharram-ul-Haram.
According to an order issued by the Director School Education Kashmir, schools have been asked to refrain from holding examinations for all classes from June 23 to June 27.
The order said the decision has been taken in view of the approaching month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
“All Government/Private Recognised Schools are directed not to conduct any in-house examinations/internal assessment/term examination for all classes w.e.f. June 23 to June 27, 2026,” the order reads.
The DSEK warned that any deviation from or non-compliance with the directions would invite disciplinary action under the relevant rules. (KNS)
