New Delhi, Jun 15: BJP Jammu & Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA) Monday held a meeting with BJP National General Secretary, newly elected Rajya Sabha MP, and J&K Prabhari Tarun Chugh at New Delhi, during which they held detailed deliberations on various organizational matters, the party’s forthcoming activities, and the prevailing socio-political situation in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
These two senior leaders reviewed the party’s organizational structure and discussed strategies to further strengthen the BJP at the grassroots level across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir. They emphasized the need to intensify public outreach and ensure that the concerns and aspirations of the people are effectively represented.
The meeting also focused extensively on the functioning of the National Conference-led government in Jammu and Kashmir. The leaders expressed serious concern over what they termed as the failure of the present regime to live up to the expectations of the people, particularly the youth.
Sat Sharma, while presenting the state of affairs in J&K, said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir had placed high hopes in the present dispensation, but the government has failed to address their aspirations and deliver effective governance. He said that the youth, who expected opportunities, transparency, and responsive administration, today feel neglected and disillusioned.
Sat Sharma discussed the organizational matters, and the party programmes to strengthen the party till booth level. He stressed that the J&K BJP will work with renewed dedication to amplify the voice of the common people.
Tarun Chugh, while listening patiently and discussing the matters with Sat Sharma, said that the BJP remains committed to the welfare and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will continue to play the role of a vigilant and responsible force. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve transparent, accountable, and development-oriented governance. Unfortunately, the present government has failed to inspire confidence among the youth and common citizens, and there is growing disappointment due to its failure to fulfil promises and address genuine public concerns. He further said that the BJP would continue to stand firmly with the people and act as a strong and constructive voice for their rights and concerns.
