Anantnag, Jun 15: Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Nominated, Ghulam Ali Khatana Monday presided over a Public Darbar/Grievance Redressal Camp at Rakhi Brah Shangus to hear and address the grievances, demands and developmental concerns of the residents of the area.
A large number of residents, public representatives and stakeholders participated in the programme and projected various issues related to infrastructure, education, healthcare, employment, agriculture, horticulture, tourism, social welfare and other essential services.
The participants highlighted various demands and concerns pertaining to road connectivity, power supply, drinking water facilities, healthcare services, education infrastructure, employment opportunities and effective implementation of government schemes.
Addressing the gathering, the MP assured the public that all genuine demands and grievances would be taken up with the concerned authorities for timely redressal. He emphasised the need for coordinated efforts by all departments to ensure inclusive and people-centric development.
The MP reviewed the developmental works being carried out in the area and sought feedback from the concerned officers on the issues raised by the public. He directed the officers to ensure prompt action and effective delivery of public services at the grassroots level.
He further stressed the importance of engaging local youth in ongoing developmental activities to generate employment opportunities and improve livelihoods.
Several grievances were addressed during the Public Darbar, while necessary directions were issued for timely action on the remaining issues.
Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Vikas Ahlawat, Tehsildar, Shangus, Block Development Officer, Shangus and officials of various line departments.
