Javid Dar holds meeting with Legislators; reaffirms commitment to responsive governance

Srinagar, Jun 23: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, Tuesday held a meeting with the legislators at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, during which a wide range of developmental and public welfare issues concerning their respective constituencies were discussed.
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports and ARI & Trainings, Satish Sharma, was also present during the meeting.
The legislators who called on the Minister included Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, Hasnain Masoodi, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah, Irshad Rasool Kar and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir.
The legislators apprised the Minister of various developmental requirements and public issues in their constituencies. They projected demands related to strengthening rural infrastructure, improving public services, augmenting agricultural support systems and expediting the implementation of ongoing developmental and welfare initiatives.
Responding to the legislators, Javid Ahmad Dar assured them that all issues and concerns projected during the meeting would be examined and taken up with the concerned departments for appropriate action.
The Minister reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment towards balanced and inclusive development across Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that sustained engagement with the elected representatives remains crucial for addressing the public grievances and ensuring effective delivery of services at the grassroots level.
He maintained that the government is focused on accelerating the developmental activities, strengthening institutional mechanisms and ensuring that the benefits of welfare and development programmes reach every section of society.
The Minister further assured the legislators of his full support and cooperation in resolving genuine public issues and addressing developmental aspirations of the people in their respective constituencies.
