Srinagar, Jul 3: Six Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured after a convoy vehicle skidded off the road and overturned near Gagangir in Ganderbal district on Friday, officials said.
The accident occurred when a vehicle, part of the down convoy returning from Baltal, reportedly lost control near a tunnel at Gagangir and overturned.
The injured personnel have been identified as Head Constable Ajit Kumar of 79 Battalion, Head Constable (Driver) Rajesh Kumar of 35 Battalion, Constable Balran Moharana of 35 Battalion, Constable Kiren Dev of 79 Battalion, Assistant Sub-Inspector Rathod Kalash of 35 Battalion and Head Constable Lalit Mohan of 35 Battalion.
Rescue teams and fellow CRPF personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. [KNT]
