Jammu, Jul 7: One person lost his life while two others sustained injuries after a car skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Chowki Choura area of Akhnoor in Jammu district on Tuesday.
Officials said the accident occurred on the highway when a car bearing registration number JK11A-4854 veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge.
The deceased was identified as Raju Sharma, son of Dev Raj, a resident of Kalakote.
The injured have been identified as Roshan Lal, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Kangri Beripattan, and Tushar Raina, son of Madan Lal, a resident of Kalakote. Both were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident. [KNT]
