Srinagar, Jul 25: Police have registered a case against a Delhi-based production company for allegedly operating a drone without permission during a film shoot in the upper reaches of the Nishat area on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Sources said that T3S Entertainment Private Limited allegedly used the drone in violation of the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Srinagar, and without obtaining the requisite permission or clearance from the police.
Sources added that the drone was being operated for film shooting purposes. During inspection, the Production Manager was found operating the drone in alleged violation of the prohibitory orders governing drone operations in the area.
Following the incident, Police Station Nishat registered FIR No. 60/2026 under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain all aspects of the alleged violation. [KNT]
