Srinagar, Aug 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday issued two separate orders concerning the transfer and posting of a JKAS officer and placement of two Assistant Section Officers as In-Charge Section Officers in the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service.
In Government Order No. 1415-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated August 19, 2026, Bilal Ahmad Mir, JKAS, presently serving as Sub-Registrar, Khansahib, while holding additional charge of Sub-Registrar, Budgam, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary in the J&K Legislative Assembly, with immediate effect.
Further, Jahangir Ahmed, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Khansahib, shall hold the charge of the posts of Sub-Registrar, Khansahib and Sub-Registrar, Budgam, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
In a separate Government Order No. 1417-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated August 19, 2026, as per JKNS, the government accorded sanction to the placement of Ms. Nahida Jan and Mr. Inder Singh, Assistant Section Officers of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service, as In-Charge Section Officers on officiating basis.
The placement has been made in their own pay and grade, with charge allowance as admissible under rules, for a period of six months or till the posts are filled up on a regular basis, on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee, whichever is earlier.
The order states that the arrangement is temporary and shall not confer any preferential right upon the officials to hold the posts on a substantive basis or claim promotion. Their promotion shall be made in accordance with the extant rules and remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s) pending before the competent courts of law.
It has further been ordered that Nahida Jan and Inder Singh shall continue to work at their present places of posting till further orders.
