Bandipora, Aug 22: A 50 year old man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in the Chaliwan Chittaybandy area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday, officials said.
An official said that the man sustained injuries in the bear attack in the area.
He said following the incident, officials from the Wildlife Department reached the spot and installed a cage to trap the animal.
Efforts are underway to trace and capture the bear, the official said, adding that investigation has been taken up. (KNO)
