Kulgam, Aug 31: A 45-year-old woman was killed after being attacked by a bear in Tarigam village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, officials said.
An official said that the bear attacked the woman in an orchard when she was working there.
He said that she sustained critical injuries in the attack and died on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Latifa Banoo, wife of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Tarigam.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (KNO)
