Anantnag, Sep 22: Anantnag Police arrested two non-local persons and seized 21 liquor bottles during naka checking at Bondialgam Crossing by Police Post Dialgam, officials said.
Police said the duo was apprehended during the checking operation and the liquor bottles were seized from their possession.
A case under FIR No. 320/2026 under Section 48(a) of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Anantnag, and further investigation is underway, police said.
The arrests are part of police checking aimed at detecting violations involving the illegal possession and transportation of liquor in the district. [KNT]
