Pulwama, Oct 8: Two persons were injured after being attacked by a bear near their residence in Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said on Thursday.
An official said that the duo was attacked by a bear near their residence in Khrew, Pampore.
He said the duo was shifted to SDH Pampore, where one of them sustained injuries to his right leg and left arm, while the other suffered an injury to his right leg. They were later referred to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The injured duo was identified as Mohd Faki Barjard (40), son of Dawood Barjard, and Manzoor Ahmad Barjard (60), son of Yaqoob Barjard.
Meanwhile, locals have urged the authorities to take preventive measures to avoid such attacks and address the issue. (KNO)
