Speaker JKLA inaugurates development projects at Dreygam, Palpora

Srinagar, Oct 23: Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Sunil Sharma, reaffirmed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment to people-centric politics and accountable governance while interacting with delegations from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir, listening to their grievances, demands, and concerns.
The interaction reflected the BJP’s emphasis on grassroots-level engagement, where public representatives remain accessible to the people and work to ensure that genuine public concerns receive the attention they deserve. Delegations highlighted various issues affecting their respective areas and sought intervention for their resolution.
Giving a patient hearing to the representatives, Sunil Sharma assured them of his support and stressed that the concerns of the people would be taken up with the concerned authorities and appropriate forums for necessary follow-up and timely redressal.
Taking a strong political pitch, Sunil Sharma emphasised that public service must be defined by accountability, accessibility, and tangible outcomes rather than mere promises. He reiterated that the BJP stands firmly with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and remains committed to raising their voices on every platform where their interests and welfare are concerned. He underlined that direct interaction with the public is essential to understanding ground realities, identifying pressing challenges, and ensuring that issues affecting ordinary citizens are not overlooked.
He also stressed the need for responsive administration and effective coordination to address genuine grievances.
The engagement further underscored the BJP’s resolve to strengthen its connection with people across districts, giving citizens an opportunity to bring forward their concerns and seek intervention through democratic and institutional channels. Reaffirming his commitment to public welfare, Sunil Sharma conveyed that the BJP would continue to stand with the people, raise issues of public importance, and pursue their genuine demands with determination.
The party’s approach, he emphasised, remains centred on public service, transparent engagement, and the protection of the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The interaction highlighted the BJP’s political commitment to remaining connected with the public and ensuring that the concerns of people from every region receive a voice at the highest political forums.
