Jammu, Nov 7: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Saturday said the National Conference leadership had addressed concerns among party MLAs through discussions, dismissing speculation about an internal rift.
Speaking to reporters in Jammu, Choudhary said party president Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had met all the legislators and there was no reason to prolong the issue.
He urged the media to focus on public concerns such as unemployment and regularisation of daily-wage workers instead of political controversies.
Choudhary also questioned the lack of local representation in key administrative positions, referring to the appointment of a new Chief Secretary following Atal Dulloo’s retirement. (KINS)
