After 5 months, JK EDI gets full fledged director

2 JKAS officers transferred

Srinagar, Nov 15: After a gap of five months Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (J&KEDI), got a full-fledged director on Monday.
As per the government order, two Jammu and Kashmir administrative officers (JKAS) were transferred on Monday with Anil Koul appointed as a new director of JKEDI.
“Anil Koul, JKAS, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, is posted as Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, J&K, relieving Mehmood Ahmad Shah, JKAS, Director, Industries and Commerce, Kashmir of the additional charge of the post. He shall also hold the charge of the post of Executive Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, J&K, till further orders,” reads the order.
“Mohammad Mumtaz Ali, JKAS, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, is posted as Director, Rural Development, Jammu, relieving Rakesh Kumar Srangal, JKAS, Director, Panchayati Raj, J&K of the additional charge of the post,” the order said.
After the retirement of G M Dar as director EDI, Surat Singh was given additional charge of Executive Director, however, with no DDO powers the employees besides the unemployed youth whose files were lying on the table of Director.
Later in October this year Mahmood Ahmad Shah was given the additional charge of director EDI after which salaries of the employees were released while a few files of the unemployed youth were also signed.
However, after around 165 days, EDI has got a full-fledged director.
