Srinagar, Nov 16: The Director General Family welfare, MCH and Immunization Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday directed all deputy Chief Medical Officers of J&K to scrutinize the data and to take utmost care while vaccinating people so that no one gets a fake vaccination certificate.
“It has come to our notice through individual complaints/LG’s Grievances cell that fake vaccination certificates are generated without individuals actually getting vaccinated which is a very serious matter. Time and again, it has been stressed upon in various meetings (offline/virtual) to keep the track of any such issues and avoid wrong entries,” reads the order issued by Dr Saleem Ur Rehman, Director General Family welfare, MCH and Immunization J&K.
The order further states that furthermore, it has also come to the notice of the undersigned that few districts in the UT are having exceptionally high second dose coverage of Covid vaccination, contradictory to the expected coverage of taking the standard 85 and 28 days for Covishield and Covaxin respectively.
“It is noted that if this trend of current daily vaccination rate continue, these districts are going to achieve 100 per cent second dose coverage, earlier than expected dates. This warrants a deep dive into the vaccination practices and careful analysis of the situation down to the Covid vaccination Centre level,” the order further states. “The district are directed to analyze their data and find out the pitfalls and appraise the Directorate with reasons and corrective actions taken, within two days positively.”
The order further reads that, “In this matter, it is once again directed to scrutinize your data and instruct the vaccination team, especially verifiers, to take utmost care to verify only those who are getting vaccines at the Vaccination Centers. Any deviation in this matter shall be dealt strictly with appropriate penal and disciplinary action.”
