Coronavirus: Two deaths; 144 new cases in JK

Srinagar, Nov 16: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday witnessed two deaths and 144 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,544.
With two more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,455 and 144 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 334,432.
Of the exact number of 334,432 cases, 209,784 are from Kashmir division and 124,648 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 144 new cases, 125 belong to Kashmir division while as 19 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 209,784 including 206,192 recoveries and 2,276 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 124,648 including 122,241 recoveries and 2,179 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,544 including 1,316 from Kashmir division and 228 from Jammu division.
With 103 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 328,433 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 51 from Srinagar, 21 from Baramulla, 06 from Budgam, 12 from Pulwama, 09 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 16 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 19 from Jammu division include 13 from Jammu, 02 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 49.
As per officials figures, 76,460 positive cases including 858 deaths and 74,962 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,952 including 285 deaths and 24,400 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,011 including 23,689 recoveries and 209 deaths are from Budgam, 15,542 including 15,324 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,586 including 166 deaths and 14,342 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,637 including 16,419 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,901 cases including 9,738 and 104 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,588 including 10,394 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,498 including 11,374 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,609 including 5,550 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,459 including 52,218 recoveries and 1,148 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,426 including 11,283 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,293 including 11,044 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,901 including 7,745 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Doda, 9,339 including 9,184 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,162 including 7,032 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,821 including 4,776 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,506 including 6,393 recoveries and 98 deaths are from Poonch, 6,051 including 5,980 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,690 including 6,586 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,111,413 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 5,567 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,544 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 3,663,845 persons have completed the surveillance period and 436,002 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 16,923,106 samples are available. Out of 16,923,106 the number of samples tested negative stands at 16,588,674 while as 334,432 have tested positive, among them 1,544 persons are active, 328,433 persons have recovered and 4,455 persons have died.
