DC Baramulla takes holistic review of Employment Generation schemes

Baramulla, Dec 9: With an aim to get the appraisal of various employment generation schemes sponsored by different departments/agencies, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar today chaired a meeting with the concerned authorities at Dak Bungalow.
During the meeting, the DC took a holistic review of the progress cum performance achieved under different schemes viz PMEGP, REGP, MUDRA Yojana, MUMKIN and NRLM among others.
While taking a comprehensive and sector wise review, the DC emphasized to explore every possibility for achieving the desired results. He directed to maintain a close liaison with each other so that the beneficiaries may not face any inconvenience.
Moreover, he exhorted to ensure the achievement of 100 percent target well within the stipulated time frame.
Expressing dismay over the unnecessary formalities, the DC stressed to provide the services in a smooth and hassle free manner without demanding frivolous necessities to the applicants. He also added to disseminate awareness among the masses through different means so that more and more beneficiaries are covered under such welfare schemes.
Meanwhile, the meeting was informed that Rs 121 Cr out of the target of Rs 126 cr have been disbursed among 12098 eligible applicants under the annual credit plan 2021-22.
Meeting was attended by the heads of KVIB, KVIC, DIC, Handloom and Handicrafts etc, besides Lead District Manager, branch heads of several banks among other concerned functionaries.
