Coronavirus: 3 deaths, 147 new cases in JK

Srinagar, Dec 15: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported three deaths and 147 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,446.
With three more deaths, the death toll in the UT has reached 4,503 and 147 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 339,271.
Of the exact number of 339,271 cases, 213,566 are from Kashmir division and 125,705 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 147 new cases, 107 belong to Kashmir division while as 40 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 213,566 including 210,155 recoveries and 2,312 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,705 including 123,167 recoveries and 2,191 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,446 including 1,099 from Kashmir division and 347 from Jammu division.
With 125 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 333,322 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 47 from Srinagar, 15 from Baramulla, 14 from Budgam, 04 from Pulwama, 13 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 05 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 40 from Jammu division include 20 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 07 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 04 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 04 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Wednesday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 50.
As per officials figures, 78,085 positive cases including 876 deaths and 76,693 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,748 including 290 deaths and 25,272 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,379 including 24,085 recoveries and 213 deaths are from Budgam, 15,668 including 15,424 recoveries and 195 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,872 including 167 deaths and 14,624 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,702 including 16,481 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,102 cases including 9,932 and 108 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,861 including 10,684 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,533 including 11,405 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,616 including 5,555 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,906 including 52,552 recoveries and 1,154 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,454 including 11,306 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,356 including 11,098 recoveries and 239 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,993 including 7,819 recoveries and 134 deaths are from Doda, 9,372 including 9,211 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,172 including 7,046 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,843 including 4,791 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,569 including 6,432 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,060 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,980 including 6,922 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,885,651 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,140 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,446 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,443,074 persons have completed the surveillance period and 429,488 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,431,117 samples are available. Out of 18,431,117 the number of samples tested negative stands at 18,091,846 while as 339,271 have tested positive, among them 1,446 persons are active, 333,322 persons have recovered and 4,503 persons have died.
