Keep Kashmir connected

It seems that the government has shown least concern towards preventing the spread of the new variant of Covid-19, Omicron as a shocking report has come to the fore claiming that the first few cases, who have been tested positive for the new variant, have already recovered. The government had claimed to have taken a series of steps after the new strain of the Covid was detected at several places across the country. However, the people are putting question marks over the claims made by the government from time to time, claiming that it is fully prepared to deal with any situation, but one fails to understand why there was delay in the results of the swabs collected by the concerned officials. There are people who believe that the delay in the results could possibly spread the new variant among the masses, which can prove disastrous for the government to control. One fails to understand the measures taken by the government some weeks ago as it seems that the concerned department was lagging behind and thus has simultaneously led to the delay in the results of genome sequencing. The report should be investigated properly and the government should ensure that there is no further delay in the results of the genome sequencing so that the situation is controlled well on time as the Covid cases are witnessing a spurt from the last couple of days, which is giving an indication about the possible third Covid wave, predicted by the experts some months ago.
