In Kashmir, Baramulla district takes lead in vaccination drive

Srinagar, May 4: Among the ten districts of Kashmir, Baramulla district has administered the highest number of COVID-19 vaccines, taking a big lead over other nine districts of the valley.

According to the official figures available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has administered 1,89,714 vaccines of Dose-I and 37,320 of Dose-II respectively.

Similarly, the central Kashmir’s Budgam is the second leading district that has administered 1,44,203 vaccines of Dose-I and 22, 973 of Dose-II respectively.

The figures reveal that the summer capital Srinagar has administered 1,37,984, vaccines of Dose-I and 32,924 with Dose-II.

Likewise, south Kashmir’s Anantnag has also registered 1,33,742 shots of Dose-I and 18,009 of Dose-II.

The Pulwama district of the region has also administered 90,718 vaccines of Dose-I and 18,832 of Dose-II.

The official figures reveal that in Kulgam district of the region 79,142 Dose-I and 10,790 Dose-II vaccines have been administered respectively.

It also states that in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, the region administered 71,720 vaccines of Dose-I and 10,075 of Dose-II followed by the frontier district Kupwara that administered 68,186, vaccines of Dose-I and 14,247 of Dose-II and north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has administered a total of 66,567 vaccines with Dose-I and 8213 with Dose-II.

The south Kashmir’s Shopian district has the least number of vaccines administered so far with Dose-I to 65,364 persons and Dose-II to 8081 respectively.
