Keep Kashmir connected

There has been a rise in the cases and arrests of government officials and officers, found involved in the bribery cases. The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has been issuing regular statements with regard to the arrest of officials, working in different departments. These arrests are indicating that the government started acting tough against corruption. It has been observed that the officials in the departments are seeking money from the public for their work, thus leaving them to lurch at large. The incumbent administration in Jammu and Kashmir from day one has been making statements against the corruption and have assured several times that the corrupt official will be shown the door. The present actions against the government officials from different departments is indicating that a process to eradicate the corruption has started across the Union territory as no day passes when the statement is not being issued with regard to the arrest of the officials for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe. Such incidents are testimony to the fact that corruption still exists in the government departments and the administration in this regard needs to spread its wings to catch all those involved in seeking and accepting bribe from the poor people. The action against the erring officials has brought relief among the common people and moreover, the concerned agencies should take more stringent actions in this regard to ensure that the corruption is shown door once for all and the people could heave a sigh of relief.
