Coronavirus: JK logs 232 new cases

Srinagar, Feb 17: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported 232 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 2,978 while no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.
With no more deaths, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,745 and 232 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 451,792.
Officials said that among 232 new cases, 70 belong to Kashmir division while as 162 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 286,652 including 282,711recoveries and 2,422 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 165,140 including 161,358 recoveries and 2,323 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 2,978 including 1,519 from Kashmir division and 1,459 from Jammu division.
With 937 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 444,069 which is 98.29 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 40 from Srinagar, 08 from Baramulla, 05 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 03 from Anantnag, 04 from Bandipora, 01 from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 162 from Jammu division include 85 from Jammu district, 01 from Udhampur, 05 from Rajouri, 29 from Doda, 03 from Kathua, 03 from Samba, 04 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 31 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 102,023 positive cases including 907 deaths and 10,314 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,527 including 304 deaths and 37,059 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,756 including 34,431 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,406 including 18,177 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,671 including 174 deaths and 21,382 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,401 including 22,065 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,643 cases including 13,452 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,623 including 13,483 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,298 including 16,154 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,194 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 75,651 including 73,870 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,696 including 14,15 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,785 including 12,493 recoveries and 248 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,259 including 10,698 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,348 including 11,102 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,071 including 8,898 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,840 including 5,763 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,722 including 7,572 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Poonch, 8,080 including 7,863 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,688 including 8,584 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,016,234 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 31,601 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 2,978 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,532,798 persons have completed the surveillance period and 444,112 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 22,614,135 samples are available. Out of 22,614,135 the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,162,343 while as 451,792 have tested positive, among them 2,978 persons are active, 444,069 persons have recovered and 4,745 persons have died.
