Snow clearance measures in full swing: Dist Admin Shopian

Shopian, Feb 23: The District Administration Shopian Wednesday informed that it was keeping close vigil on Snow clearance operations across the district to restore road connectivity, power and other essential services that had got affected due to recent Snowfall in the district.
AEE Mechanical informed that all measures have been put in place already to tackle the situation, both men and machinery are on the job and Snow has been cleared from all major roads and traffic is plying normally on Shopian to Srinagar and other such routes.
It was also informed that PDD is also trying its best to restore electricity as soon as possible to facilitate the people of the district.
Meanwhile, the District Administration informed that all essential supplies including water, and road connectivity to all hospitals, government offices and emergency establishments have been restored fully and people need not to panic.
Earlier, during the day, on the directions of ADC Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani Sub Divisional heads and concerned Tehsildars conducted inspections in their respective areas to monitor the Snow clearance operation.
ADC Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani along with ACR Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmad Bodha, EO MC Shopian, Suhail Ah Malik and other concerned officers visited many areas of the district to monitor the Snow clearance operations.
