Mobile de-addiction centres needed

There is no doubt that the mobile phones have eased the lifestyle of people all across the globe, but at the same time, its excessive use has taken a heavy toll on the users, especially among the children, who remain stuck to the cellular phones for hours together. It has been reported many times that the excessive use of mobile phones has damaged the eye-sight of users, but the addiction towards the cellular phones is resulting in more dangerous health issues that presently are at rise across the world. The excessive use of mobile phones has several negative effects, which include mental health, poor sleep, neck pain, tendinitis and others. Moreover, the unnecessary use of cellular phones is also leading to the increased risk of car accidents, poor school performance and poor work performance as well. There are several studies available that suggest that excessive cell phone use can lead to anxiety and depression. Adolescents who were addicted to their mobile phones were more likely to experience chronic stress and low emotional stability. Such issues are common at present with the health experts claiming that the flow of patients complaining of stress and other above mentioned issues is increasing rapidly. At this juncture, there is a need to consider establishing mobile de-addiction centres, similar to the drug de-addiction centres. Such places where proper counseling will be ensured to the people will help them in reducing the stress level and also put an end to the excessive use of mobile phones. The government should take serious notice of this issue as the addiction of smartphones is increasing with each passing day.
