The drugs have already devastated the lives and dreams of the people while many of the families have even parted ways with their dear ones who are involved either in selling or consuming the deadly substances. However, the Islamic clerics have finally come up with a solution to end the menace from the society calling for a social boycott with all those involved in drug menace. Kashmir’s Grand Mufti, Nasir-ul-Islam has recently issued a ‘Fatwa’ and ruled out any possibility of compromise with such elements within the society. The Fatwa that has come at a time when the government has been trying to eradicate the menace from the society, has created a fear among several people, who are involved in such practice, but the lust would never allow them to stay away from the illegal trade. Nonetheless, the decision taken by the Kashmir’s Grand Mufti is suitable and apt for especially the drug dealers, who for their vested interests are spoiling the lives of many youth and also devastating the families as well. It seems that the consciousness of these people have died and thus are out to spoil the society for just some pennies to have a luxury life. In order to share the bit in this regard, the people need to follow the religious teachings in letter and spirit so that the people involved in such illegal practices are forced to stop the illegal trade that is only destroying the lives of youth and shattering the dreams of hundreds of families all across Jammu and Kashmir.
